Mary Jane (Janie) Sparks passed away on June 10, 2O17. Christmas Eve will never be the same! Although we will miss her and think of her every day, we are comforted in knowing she is at peace in God's kingdom.
Mom was born on November 20, 1925, to Roy and Olive (Gentry) Fulk, in Clay City, lndiana. She was one of eight children and treasured her memories of life on the farm.
Mom was a feisty little lady. Many times we thought we were going to lose her but she wouldn't have it! Her courage and strength prevailed!
Mom married Charles J. Sparks on March 9, 1943. Together they raised three children. Dad passed away in 2002 and we know they are having a grand reunion.
Mom is survived by her children: Linda (Paul) Aslakson, Sandra (Duncan) McDonald and Joe (Debbie Walker) Sparks. She is also survived by her grand, great and great-great grandchildren, as well as her sister-in-law Lois Moffatt.
Above all else, Mom loved her family and so enjoyed us all being together. We will, therefore, all gather to celebrate and honor her life at a private family service.
The family extends sincere gratitude and appreciation to Life Care Center of Salt Lake and to Brighton Hospice for their loving, compassionate care.
