Amy Lois Kerby passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on November 29th 2016 in her residence. She was born on August 12, 1928 in Rogersville, MO to John and Ruby Gilmore where she lived with her parents and sister Beulah, John later remarried to Carrie adding sisters Ivonne and Geneva. She graduated in 1947 from Rogersville high school. Amy married Howard Kerby on August 12, 1948 at Mount Zions Baptist Church in Missouri. Amy Lois Kerby passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on November 29th 2016 in her residence. She was born on August 12, 1928 in Rogersville, MO to John and Ruby Gilmore where she lived with her parents and sister Beulah, John later remarried to Carrie adding sisters Ivonne and Geneva. She graduated in 1947 from Rogersville high school. Amy married Howard Kerby on August 12, 1948 at Mount Zions Baptist Church in Missouri. Howard was in the Air force which had them moving frequently, they eventually settled in Utah which they have called their home for 56 years. She had daughter Barbara in Tawas, Michigan, and later son Phillip in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a seamstress with Trailways for many years in which she was a member of the International Association of Machinists. Amy was also a devout Christian for many years at the First Baptist Church of West Valley. Amy will be remembered for her kindness, faith and consideration for others. Survived by Son in law: Rod Mitchell, Grandchildren: Shellby (Kevin) Simms and Kris (Laci) Mitchell, Great Grandchildren: Kyle Simms, Gage Simms and Derringer Mitchell. Predeceased by: Husband: Howard Kerby, Daughter: Barbara Mitchell, Son: Phillip Kerby.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Valley View Funeral Home 4335 w 4100 s West Valley City, UT 84120 from 5:00-7:00pm.
Services will be Monday, December 5, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of West Valley 3831 s 2700 w West Valley City, UT 84119. Visitation at 10:00-10:45am Services will start at 11:00am.
Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park 4335 w 4100 s West Valley City, UT 84120 following services.
